Basic Jewelry Making


Fee: $30.00 per person, materials not included.

Class length: 2 1/2 Hrs




Pre-requisite: Students are required to pick-out beads and have a basic design established for a single strand bracelet prior to the start of class. This may be done on any day or time prior to class that is convenient to the student. Our staff will be glad to assist in this process. You may use your own beads as well, so long as they are suitable.

Age Requirements: 13 yrs and older


Class Description: The basic jewelry making class is designed for those who would like to explore jewelry making as a hobby. Students learn how to use common jewelry making tools, how to attach a clasp using crimps and beading wire, and how to use other stringing materials such as leather, elastic, and memory wire. Students will also learn wire wrap techniques employed in making professional looking earrings. An introduction to basic design elements and trouble-shooting is also covered. Most students should be able to complete a basic, single strand bracelet of their own design, and a basic pair of earrings during the class.
